Donald Trump has recently announced his bid for the 2024 presidential election, creating a dilemma for the Republican party. Many Republicans think that Trump’s election denialism cost the party dearly in the midterms, but his loyal base is determined to see him win again. Here are 3 reasons why Trump will not win in 2024.

1. Trump may not even be the Republican nominee

Although Trump is currently the front-runner for the 2024 Republican nomination, he is not guaranteed to win it. There are many other potential candidates, such as Ron Desantis, Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, and Ted Cruz, who will challenge Trump for the nomination.

Key republicans are already attacking Trump, accusing him of being the reason behind their poor showing in the midterms. Former Vice President Mike Pence recently spoke with ABC’s David Muir about the Capitol riot on January 6th, 2021 and the role former President Trump played in it. In the interview, Pence called out one of Trump’s tweets during the riot as “reckless.” Pence recounted his experience during the Capitol riot and discussed his reaction to a tweet sent by former President Trump during that time.
