Absolutely. I think LangChain is so chatty & complex because they are trying to build an abstraction that can be used in several heterogenous use cases. That forces them to make some implementation choices that are good for some uses cases, but bad for others. LangChain is not optimal for all workflows, especially those where speed and determinism are paramount.
