France is a country with an incredibly rich history and culture, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. From its stunning landscapes to its timeless cuisine, the country offers a wealth of incredible experiences for visitors. There are also many interesting facts about France that many people may not know about. Here are some of the amazing things that make France truly unique.

First, France is home to the largest forest in Europe, located in French Guiana in South America. The tropical rainforest spans more than 7 million hectares and is home to numerous species of birds, mammals and reptiles. Additionally, this area is part of France’s overseas territories, which have full rights as French citizens including freedom of movement inside the EU.

Second, France has the longest land border of any country in Europe — with Germany to the east and Spain to the south — but it also shares its longest land border with Brazil due to owning French Guiana. This means that France has direct access to two different continents! Moreover, despite being smaller than other countries like Russia or Canada — more than twice the size of the UK — it is still Europe’s largest nation by landmass.
